Good evening from Haiti!
After a very long day of travel, which began late last night
for some, our team from United Methodist Church has arrived safely to our guest
house in Port au Prince. Our team comes primarily from the eastern Pennsylvania
area, but also from as far away as Alaska. I am very excited and blessed to
have been called to help lead this team to be the hands and feet of Christ here
in Haiti.
After dinner, we talked about the week ahead, the various
ministries we will be helping to support, and the importance of seeing Jesus in
everyone we help. However, it is also important to ask “Who Does God Say You
Are?” As we work with the elderly, the orphans, the sick and the poor, we have to
remember that God often times sees us differently than we see ourselves. We are
bursting with the potential to become all that He already says we are.
